Montreal Jazz Festival

The Montreal Jazz Festival is held in Montreal, Quebec during the summer season, usually at the end of June.  The attendance of the 2007 Montreal Festival reached 2.1 million.

In The shows are held in a wide variety of venues from small jazz clubs to the larger halls.  Some of the outdoor shows are held on cordoned-off streets while others are in parks. 

Generally there are over 500 concerts offered during the 10 day event, and about 350 of the concerts are outdoors and free to the public.
