Jazz Music Instruments

The academic study of musical instruments is called organology.

Among the first devices considered to be musical instruments are rattles, stampers, and various drums.  It appears that these early music instruments where developed to add sound to emotional  movements such as dancing.

Eventually additional music instruments were designed for the same purpose.

Images of musical instruments begin to appear in Mesopotamian artifacts in and about 2800BC.  Musical instrument used by the Egyptians culture before 2700 BC are show in tomb paintings.
