BERKLEE - High School Jazz Festival
Founded on the revolutionary principle that the
best way to prepare students for careers in
music was through the study and practice of
contemporary music. For over half a century, the
college has evolved constantly to reflect the
state of the art of music and the music
business. With over a dozen performance and
nonperformance majors, a diverse and talented
student body representing over 70 countries, and
a music industry 'who's who' of alumni, Berklee
is the world's premier learning lab for the
music of todayÑand tomorrow.

Festival Events
California Festivals and Fairs in March allow
visitors to wear an Easter Bonnet while
listening to Dixieland Jazz. Some quirky, fun
activities and events in March include festivals
and parades. Kite festival, Dixieland jazz fest,
Winter Snowfest and Los Angeles Marathon are but
a few of the great annual events that keep us on
the run. If you live in California, you know
what we mean. The sun shines nearly all the
time, the weather is warm and events just keep
on happening. March lets up only a little bit on
the event circuit. It allows visitors just
enough time to freshen up from the marathon or
parade and get ready for the fairs and foods
that come on strong in April and May.

Festival Events - Oxford Jazz Festival
The Oxford Jazz Festival presents an
action-packed four days of jazz from 9th to 12th
April 2009, with acclaimed jazz artists
performing in some of Oxford’s finest and most
historic venues, including the Oxford Union
Debating Chamber, St. Hugh's College, the
Jacqueline du Pré Music Building, the North Wall
Arts Centre, and Saint Michael at the North
Gate, the oldest building in Oxford.
